In a fast-evolving business world, the conversation about gender equality and equity can no longer be just another item on the corporate agenda. As the CEO of NEORIS, I have witnessed how barriers, though persistent, are beginning to blur thanks to the determined efforts of leaders and organizations that understand that the future of work must be built on the foundation of inclusion.

Diversity not only enriches our organizational culture but also serves as a crucial catalyst for innovation and sustainable growth. This premise took center stage at our NEOWoman 2024 event, where we aimed to highlight the role of women in technology and business, reaffirming our commitment to female empowerment and breaking down the walls that hinder professional development. We had the privilege of listening to inspiring voices that are redefining women’s leadership.

Among these outstanding voices, Rosario Marín, former Treasurer of the United States and an extraordinary leader, delivered a particularly powerful testimony on perseverance, resilience, and values. Her story reinforced something I have always held dear: true leadership is built on integrity and the responsibility to always do the right thing.

During her talk, Rosario shared how she faced cultural, linguistic, and gender barriers as an immigrant. However, instead of seeing them as obstacles, she turned them into stepping stones toward success. Her journey perfectly illustrates how talent, when combined with determination and purpose, transcends any societal limitations. Her rise from an immigrant to becoming the first Latina woman to serve as Treasurer of the United States not only shatters paradigms but also sets a new standard for what is possible.

In that sense, her statement that “women’s potential is infinite” is something I completely agree with. Her powerful message on resilience—"in an environment full of challenges, women have proven to be greater than the obstacles"—perfectly encapsulates the essence of what we strive to foster at NEORIS: a transformative female leadership that transcends limits.

This vision deeply aligns with our mission to create spaces where female talent can flourish without limitations, where every woman has the opportunity to develop her full potential, and where diverse perspectives drive innovation and growth.

Rosario also emphasized the importance of mentorship and networking—fundamental tools for overcoming the challenges of a highly competitive and ever-evolving sector like technology. At NEORIS, we implement internal programs that connect emerging female leaders with senior executives, fostering not only technical expertise but also confidence in strategic decision-making.

The transformation we seek goes beyond fulfilling quotas or commemorating specific dates throughout the year. It is about leading a profound cultural revolution to bring this vision to life and providing platforms—like NEOWoman—where women can raise their voices and lead with confidence.

Just as Rosario Marín demonstrated that no ceiling is too high to break, I am convinced that leaders must actively remove the invisible barriers hindering women’s professional growth. This commitment is reflected not only in our daily policies and practices but also in the way we build diverse teams, promote inclusive management, and celebrate the achievements of every woman within the NEORIS community.

Rosario’s story reminds us that the path to gender equity requires more than good intentions—it demands concrete actions, inclusive policies, and the courage to challenge the status quo to create a future where gender is never a barrier to excellence. Addressing inequalities structurally is a responsibility that companies cannot ignore.

The future of technology is inclusive, diverse, and collaborative. While the road to full inclusion is still long, every step we take brings us closer to a world where female leadership is no longer the exception. With initiatives like NEOWoman and NEORIS’s unwavering commitment to inclusion, I am convinced that we are building a legacy that will inspire future generations of female leaders in technology.
